Welcome back to the blog.

So big exciting news! I'm officially on YouTube!

I've actually had an account for quite a few years now, just being a viewer really. I did put a short video of a couple of my kittens on there (which must of been around 2017) Rae and Rocco. (we sadly lost Rocco when he was 6 months old, but I'm so pleased I have that video of him, to be able to watch him anytime I want & somehow it feels like he's living on, through the power of the internet ♥)

I didn't post for years, but it's something, like blogging, I've always wanted to do, but I always put myself off. We are terrible to ourselves sometimes aren't we!? Because I feel awkward in front of the camera, have no idea how to edit a video, put music to it etc etc. I always just talked myself out of it. The whole self doubt talk would enter my head, telling myself who did I think I was, no one would be interested in watching anyway.

But like starting blogging again something shifted this year. Maybe it's because it's the year of the fire horse! Or maybe I literally just reached an age or time in my life that I really want to start doing things I want to do. If people want to judge and criticize, well that's up to them, literally none of my business. As long as I'm happy doing what I'm doing and not causing anyone any bother, then why the hell not.

I'm not doing this because I think I'm going to be the next Lydia Millen, I mean that would be amazing not gonna lie! But it isn't my sole goal or reason to start YouTube.

I have literally just been drawn to it. I want to be able to document daily goings on and save all these little moments in life. Then one day when I'm a little old lady I can have a good look back at my life : )

I am actually really chuffed with myself that I have managed to piece a video together to edit clips and add some music (with the help of Chat GPT providing an idiot proof step by step guide). Now, it's nothing amazing and I certainly have a lot of practice and learning to do, but for my first go, I don't think it's too bad. Considering I've never done anything like this before, other then a short Instagram reel.

I published my first video on Tuesday so I think I will try to stick to a Tuesday schedule. Tuesday for a YouTube video and Thursday for my blog post.

It's very early stages so I'm not going to put huge pressure on myself. If I'm slightly late uploading I'm not going to stress too much. I want this to stay being something fun and enjoyable.

So there we have it. I'm officially on YouTube sharing weekly vlogs.

  Happy New Year! I just wanted to pop on here quickly and wish you all a very Happy New Year. As you know I've recently started the blog up again and it has been a bit of a slow burner getting back into it. The last couple of weeks something seems to have switched though and I really want to get up and running properly. Backing up pictures

  Good morning friends! In today's post I'm chatting about something I should of definitely taken my own advice on years ago! For about the last week or so I've been getting emails and notifications on my Gmail that I'm running out of space and I'm pretty much at full capacity. Since I've been saving my videos to upload to my YouTube for my vlogs I have noticed my space being taken up quite quickly. I've been quite good at clearing the Google drive and deleting videos from pictures as soon as I'm finished with uploading everything for my YouTube videos. But it's still close to full capacity. I've pretty much deleted all my emails - luckily Gmail isn't my main account, but the pictures seem to be what's taking up the most space. I literally had no idea that every time I take a picture they are not only saving to my phone gallery, but they are going over to Google pictures too.   Hi Guys, I hope 2026 is treating you well so far. In my previous  post  I mentioned about some beauty products I had just started using and I will report to you my thought's in due course, but it got me to thinking about the products I already use on a daily basis. My bathroom staples if you like, the go-to's.  It's something I'm always curious to know, what are the products on peoples sinks, their everyday toiletries. Not the ones that maybe an ad feature or collaboration, but the ones that get popped in the shopping basket week after week, month after month. The products that may not be as aesthetically pleasing, but always make the cut.
