Easy Birthday presents that I love
Hey guys!
We are officially in February and my Birthday month.
Don't worry I don't really celebrate all month, it just sounds good doesn't it?!
Literally though where did January go? For me it really went quick. I think with Mark commuting and working from home the weeks really do go quick for us me!
With it being my Birthday at the end of the month I thought I'd share some present ideas. People always say I'm hard to buy for, but I'm genuinely shocked by that statement because I really do think I'm the easiest person to buy for. Maybe people just think I'm fancy and high maintenance, but I'm really not. I am quite simple really and easily pleased. Do you think you're easy or hard to buy for?
This is going to be a fictional list as I am 43 about to turn 44 and I don't really receive presents anymore and I don't expect them. I just thought this would be a fun post and may give you a few ideas if you're ever stuck with something to buy someone for their Birthday or just gifting in general, for a thank you for example.
+ Socks - I absolutely love socks. Especially cosy fluffy ones, Primark do good ones.
+ Chocolate - You cannot go wrong with a box of chocolates, or even a giant choccie bar if it's for a present. Ooo a box of Malteasers too, yum!
+ Wine - another easy standard gift. I don't drink much anymore, but a bottle of wine is always gratefully received, popped in a bottle gift bag always makes a nice touch.
+ Smellies - I also love beauty products. Even just a nice bubble bath or bath salts. Also things like body lotions, make-up brushes are always lovely gifts.
+ Candles - everyone loves a candle!
+ Flowers or a pot plant or some Cactus. I love Cactus and the beauty of that they will last for forever hopefully.
+ Stationary - oh I love stationary. A lovely notebook or a novelty pen, you know the ones with a pom pom on the end or something. Reminds me of Cher from Clueless when I was younger - showing my age I know, haha.
+ a Mug - Mugs are great presents, something everyone uses, whether you're a big tea drinker like me, love a coffee or even a creamy hot chocolate on a winters day, a lovely mug is always a good gift. Make it more bougie and put some chocs in it or even the socks. Or both!
If you wanted to spend a little more I think a gift box or basket with a selection of random bits in is a lovely present too. The basket/box doubles up as the present too. By putting some tissue paper in the bottom then placing everything in nicely, just gives it that personal touch.
With shops like Home Bargains, B&M and here in Spain we have Pepco (Poundland) and Tedi, it's easy to pick up some lovely budget friendly presents.
I think it's all about just letting the person know you've thought about them on their Birthday. It really doesn't (shouldn't anyway) be about expensive presents. For me it really is the thought that counts!
Are you the same, do you get the same buzz from a smaller gift as well as the big gesture gifts?
Either way it's always lovely to receive a present on your Birthday, not gonna lie ; )
Happy Thursday guys, see you next week!
♥ Heather
