Sale shopping

Hi guys and welcome back to the blog.

I wanted to chat to you about the sales.

I know a lot of shops have their sales pretty much on-going these days and in a lot of stores the prices get slashed well before Christmas. In Spain though the main sales don't start in stores until January 7th, the day after the Three Kings celebration or Dia de Reyes. Usually they do start online on the evening of the 6th though.

Of course like a lot of us I love a bargain so I had to go to the Boulevard on the 7th to check out the sales.

To be honest though I didn't really buy much at all. I mean I was ready to shop, I had the green light from Mark, but not much took my fancy to be honest. I am getting more sensible in my old age when it comes to buying. When I was younger I used to buy so much that was on sale and looking back it was really random stuff that just didn't get worn, but it was a bargain! Crazy mentality, but I guess we all have to go through that.

There was so much lovely knitwear on sale, which I really had to be strong with myself and refrain from buying. A couple of days previous I had a mini rearrange of my wardrobe and drawers and for someone that lives in Spain where we have more warm days then cool, I have a lot of winter woolies.

It is cold at the moment here in Spain and I'm definitely wearing a lot of my jumpers, but in a month or so they probably will start being made redundant again until December. So I am proud of myself that I was strong and didn't buy anymore.

I did buy some new socks from C&A, they were on sale which was a bonus as I needed new socks and would of bought them anyway, but always good to get them reduced. I was really surprised how lovely and soft they are and are a nice length. Slightly longer which I like, I don't like when they are too short right around the ankle.

I also got a blue striped shirt from Mango. I'm really excited about this one. I had actually tried this on a couple of months a go because I really wanted a striped shirt and the one in Mango was definitely my favorite out of all the ones I'd seen about. It wasn't super expensive at €27.99, but I just wasn't sure if it was totally worth it, but then I saw it in the January sales for €19.99. Not a huge reduction but definitely a price I'm absolutely comfortable with and definitely worth buying it. It was definitely a hell yeah purchase! (I tried to find a link for you incase you wanted a nose, but I can't seem to find it on their website, I'll try to get some pics up on Instagram or on the blog when I'm feeling a bit more photogenic!)

I also have a Levi's top coming through the post, which is a bit of a story. I went into the Levis shop but everything always seem so teeny tiny. I do have a couple of Levis t-shirts which I love. I got them in America on previous trips out there, I always seem to pick them up from Target in the men's section. Remembering this while instore I thought I'll have a browse through the men's tops. And OMG there was a lush long sleeved navy top, they had three hanging up, but they were all size xs. I tried one on and it did fit well except for across the boobs! It was just too tight and clingy, I did leave slightly gutted as I definitely would of bought it.

All evening I kept thinking about this bloody Levis top. I went on their website and it wasn't on there, only in a green, which I didn't really like. So I just typed it into Google, as you do, and a bunch came up on different random sites. I say random, they're probably not, it's just I've never heard of them lol. I picked the website called Tradeinn and promptly ordered it. With delivery it actually worked out a few euros cheaper then it was in store. I paid €21.98 in total, top €18.99, delivery €2.99 and instore it was on sale for €24.50. Fingers crossed it's legit! I will report back to you guys.

We've also bought a new mirror in the sale for our porch. We got it from JYSK with some of my Christmas money from my Dad, so can't wait to get that up. I've been giving the porch a little glow up over the past few months (these things take time) and now I just need to give the porch a fresh lick of paint and she's good to go.

The last thing I've bought is a picture from Conforama for our bedroom. Mark saw it the other day and quite liked it. It was only €9.90 as it was the last one and ex display. If it doesn't look quite right in our bedroom we can hopefully find a home for it somewhere in the house.

So that's the round up of my January sale purchases. It's not many, but nice to get a few bits and I'm definitely trying to be more mindful of what I buy these days and try not to be too wasteful and really think about if I really need it. God when did I get so sensible, haha!

Happy sales shopping if you're hitting the shops!

Ciao for now, ♥ Heather

p.s as in my previous posts I've just linked things for your reference, they're not ads, or any kind of affiliate links, when they are I will of course let you know and be completely transparent.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! I just wanted to pop on here quickly and wish you all a very Happy New Year. As you know I've recently started the blog up again and it has been a bit of a slow burner getting back into it. The last couple of weeks something seems to have switched though and I really want to get up and running properly. I know I've literally done two posts and this will be my third lol, but I am really enjoying having a blog again and sharing whatever comes along. I'm under no illusion the blog will be a slow burner, which to be honest I want it to be, I want to get myself into the swing of it all, challenge myself and get myself into the habit of posting regularly and consistently. The beauty of blogs is that they can be read at any time which is wonderful, but I think for me to get into the habit that I want, I need to have a focused day I will release my posts on. So, for now I am going to start posting just once a week to begin with on a Thursday. (Hence me making sure...

My daily beauty products

Hi Guys, I hope 2026 is treating you well so far. In my previous  post  I mentioned about some beauty products I had just started using and I will report to you my thought's in due course, but it got me to thinking about the products I already use on a daily basis. My bathroom staples if you like, the go-to's.  It's something I'm always curious to know, what are the products on peoples sinks, their everyday toiletries. Not the ones that maybe an ad feature or collaboration, but the ones that get popped in the shopping basket week after week, month after month. The products that may not be as aesthetically pleasing, but always make the cut. I'm not going to go through every single product I use, 'cause quite frankly you and me just don't have the time and if you're anything like me you haven't got the attention span for it either. But I am going to show you the main players that I literally use everyday. Some I do switch up according to price and ju...
